What is poverty? Poverty is when you are in the state of being extremely poor.In the word around 1.89 billion people live in extreme poverty. Which is nearly 36% of the world's population, nearly half of the population in developing countries lives on less then $1.25 a day.
In the United States the poverty rate overall is 9.2% with the rate for white, non-Hispanic people at 15.2%, and the rate for Hispanic people at 13.8%. There are also 553,742 homeless people in the United states. The United States has a small amount of extreme poverty compared to third world countries. The poverty rates have almost doubled in the Middle East and North Africa between 2015-1017, going from 3.8% to 7.2% which is mostly because of the crises in syria and yemen. Extreme poverty can be caused by a lack of jobs or not having land to plant on often due to weather, climate change, and overpopulation. Due to covid it is expected that 88 million to 115 million people will be pushed into extreme poverty.

I wouldn't last very long in an environment that people in poverty live in. They have it hard, and whether they put themself in that position or were forced into that position or not, it still sucks to see someone going through that type of thing. Them getting a job would definitely be the number one solution, but alot of people in that position don't have the qualifications alot of decent paying jobs ask for. Just a small paying job could impact their life alot though and it would be a slow process, but it could bring alot of people out of that position if they had the motivation to do it.
I think we could do a lot more for people in poverty by helping them get jobs or if they are homeless getting them to a shelter make the shelters safer and more inviting to the homeless. another thing we can do is help get people off drugs by getting them help.
I think we can help poverty rates by government laws being put in place to benefit people who are in poverty. If I lived in an area of extreme poverty I would try to find a job and work until I can find a better place to go.
I think we could help poverty by giving more homeless people jobs and if they do drugs then send them to a recovery place. I don't think I could live where some of these people live because it looks like it would be hard and not very fun.
I think the best thing to get people out of poverty is to find jobs. There have been multiple cases in the US's history where the government give jobs for helping with construction and other things. However, due to covid a lot of jobs have disappeared due to all the things that covid has done.
I don't think that I could live where some of these people live. I feel bad for them and it would be hard. I think as a country we can do more to help those who are in poverty, however I do feel that we have lots of charities who are helping a good amount.
I think we could raise some charities and donate to the poor people, or governments could send money to those countries. Other than that there is not a lot that we can do. We can't help everyone with poverty, because there are too many people. I don't think I could live in these people's shoes for my entire life. America has spoiled us because we have food, water, fixed homes, entertainment things.
In my opinion, I think that I could not live where some of these people live. I am used to not being in poverty. I am used to having all the decent things in life. I think it would be hard to just go live in poverty. I think the government needs to do more to help poverty. I am not sure what the government should do, but I do think they need to take action to help the people in poverty.
I think that the goverment should help the poor and help them out and get them on there feet but they give stimulaus checks but not to the homeless or the people that are in poverty i think they should take act of giving and helping people that are suffering with poverty its really sad to think about.
