John XXIII and John Paul II were canonized (officially declare a dead person to be a saint) Sunday by Pope Francis in an unprecedented ceremony witnessed by huge crowds gathered in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City.
Millions more around the world watched as two former pontiffs were for the first time installed as saints in a dual canonization. The faithful and the curious packed the streets of Rome around the Vatican before dawn, hoping to gain entry to St. Peter's Square and catch a direct glimpse of church history in the making.
What do you think about this story? Would you like to watch the pope canonize someone?

It would have been very interesting to watch! I wonder what they did that made him want to canonize them!
It is nice to hear about something positive for once. I think it would be cool to be a part of history like that.
seeing the pope would be very cool... seeing him canonize somebody would be even cooler. The new pope is very different from all the others so i think it is good that he is making history .
Yeah, I think seeing the pope in real life would be an awesome experience.
This is the biggest thing to happen in the catholic community because these two dead popes that are now saints were very friendly and helpful and they did preform miracles. They went around the would to see all of the followers of Christ and taught us very helpful things like how to stay chase. If you know what I mean.
I think it is great that these two amazing men are now saints, as both of them greatly deserve it. I think it would be interesting to watch but i wouldnt want to go all the way to italy to see it.
