In Nashville, Tennessee a Police Officer was fired after a newspaper showed pictures of him choking a 21 year old hand cuffed college student. The Officer, Frank Phillips, was caught choking a college student until he lost consciousness. A British Newspaper published the photos on their website for all to see. The student was under the influence of alcohol, but he was not showing any resistance to the officer. I do not think that the officer should have choked him.

I think that the officer shouldn't have done this and should face some form of harsh punishment for it. These are the people you trust to uphold safety in your towns and they aren't doing it in this case. I think he overreacted for this situation.
That's uncalled for for the officer to do something like that. If the student wasn't resisting arrest he had no reason to behave like that.

I think the officer should definitely be punished for choking the child. I think that sometimes officers get away with things that they shouldn't.

I don't think the kid deserved to be choked even if he was drunk. Choking by a police officer just shouldn't be allowed in today's society, and I think that he should have some action taken towards him, but maybe not to the point of firing him.

Well if he had no reason to choke the kid then the punishment was spot on. But if the kid was drunk and resisting he might have had it coming.
The man wasnt resisting arrest he was cuffed.
