A bomb was detonated on a packed subway train during rush hour. In Parson Green Station of London 29 people were injured from the impact of the bomb. This attack was considered a terrorists attack and the threat level of Britain has increased to critical. No one has been linked to the bomber yet but police are searching for answers. The police are scanning over over surveillance footage, running forensic files, and asking witnesses about what they experienced. Most witnesses described the explosion as a red, hot, fiery ball of flames that came so fast that no one was ready for it. Many of the victims of the attack had injuries including burns, singed skin, and being trampled. This incident is still under investigation.

Questions:

1. If you were on the subway while the bomb went off, what would you do?

2. If you found out that a family member was on that subway, what would be your first action?

My answers:

1. If I were on the subway when the bomb went off I would take cover immediately. After the subway was cleared of bombs I would try to help the more injured victims of the attack. I would also contact my family to let them know that I was okay right away.

2. If I found out that a family member could have possibly been on there I would call them right away to make sure that they were alright. If it was serious, I would try to get to London as quick as possible to comfort them in any way I could.

  • Great job overall! You only commented on two different days instead of three.

  • I would leave with my family or friends as quick as I could just to make sure I was safe. Then I would try to help by calling to police or looking around trying to identify who did it because odds are they wanted to see what they did. Get to them as quick as possible to make sure they were safe and unharmed.

  • 1. I would probably dive to the floor, trying to blend in and act dead. After figuring out the coast is clear, I would try and help as many People as I could.

    2. Definitely call them as soon as possible and try to  get as much information from them as possible.

  • If I were on the subway when the bomb went off I would probably try to run away in case there were more bombs. If one of my family members were on the subway I would try to contact them as quickly as possible.

    • I agree with you about trying to get to safety in case of another bomb possibly going off in that subway. It is also important to get in contact with your family as soon as an incident like that happened. Especially if you were a part of that attack.

  • 1.  I would freak out, and then try to be calm and get down and maybe even try to leave the subway. 2. If one of my family members were on that subway I probably would've cried my eyes out, and then try to figure out if they were ok.

  • If I was on the subway I would have just calm people down and tried to look for people that could be the bomber in that state of mind. And If I found out that a family member was on the subway I would just first to make sure they are alive.

    • I think it is important to stay calm in a stressful and scary situation like that. The best thing you can do is stay calm for others on the Subway. It is smart to keep an open eye just in case the bomber would have happened to still be on the subway.

  • If I were on the subway, my reaction would depend on how close I am to the bomb. I would either run or take cover, and help others. If a family member was on the train, I would probably call them to see if they were okay. If they didn't answer, I would wait until I heard about them. If they were injured, I would go to London and comfort them.

    • I agree with you about trying to find safety. I also think that in the time of the situation it would be important to make sure it is clear before trying to find safety. I would also go to London to comfort them and make sure that they will be alright.
