a woman was pulled over for speeding in new mexico. When the officer asked her to get out of the vehicle she sped off. Once she was pulled over again her 14 year old son got out of the van and rushed the cop. After a brief scuffle the boy got back into the van. When the woman sped off again this prompted the cop to shoot at the van full of 5 children.

The cops had no idea there was kids in there so it's not their fault at all. If they did know then I'm sure they wouldn't have shot. Did any of the kids get hurt? Why did she have so many kids in her van?
That's sad, but what else were the cops supposed to do? If she was going to keep driving off they had no other choice.
I think the cop had no other choice on what to do. I do think the Women was not very smart having 5 kids with her.
I think that this is okay I understand that they are children, but if they are going to go against the law then it is their own problem.
I saw Mr. Tucker watching this video. I don't understand why the policemen decided to shoot at the vehicle. I saw that there was two little girls in the van. They could have been severely injured. I hope that everyone is fine. The policemen should get some kind of punishment for making that rash of a decision.

The cops had no choice and were simply doing their job, which is to keep the peace. She broke the law twice, at least, and then the children rushed the cops. Battery is Battery no matter which way you put it.
I definitely think the cop shouldn't have fired at the vehicle. He obviously knew there was at least one child and potentially more in the van. He could have injured them or even killed them.
In the cops' defense, he probably didn't know there were that many children in the van. The woman shouldn't have been speeding anyway, so this could have been avoided.
