Polar Bear Cannibalism!

As the Artic warms up, the polar bears get hungrier. Adult male bears are more likely to eat cubs and females. Because the ice is melting sooner, seals are not avalible to the polar bears, because the bears use the ice as a platform to hunt. Scientists are saying that cannibalism may go up as the ice keeps decending and shrinking.

thoughts?? i find this gross! Just cannibalism in general is gross and not right! But bears got to eat right? Even though it is wrong adn sad that they are eating each other...more on the story here.

what?? this is not their fault.. this is humans fault .. the last 20 years we destroy a big part of the planet.. the earth its more poluted and more hot .. the ice wont be there forever and we are making that the ice melt faster .. we caused that.. this is the sad thing

I just think its weird that people are blaming global warming for mother polar bears eating there kids! I honestly don't think it's global warming thats making them eat there young.

That's sad I think that would be nasty seeing a polar bear eat another polar bear.

I feel sorry for them. They really have no choice. There isn't much more that they could eat.

I find its gross, but i guess it happens. I mean most humans would never do that.. but when you think about it, animals eat animals. I just cant believe they are forced to eat their own kinda. Yucky!

it's actually because there are way more bears than there has ever been and since the seal population hasn't gone up or down, there is less food for each bear.

Eating other polar bears is part of what they do. They don't think it is bad. Also, you wouldn't if you weren't taught that way.
