In the 1950s, a new material came out, and it would change the world forever. There are over thousands of raw categories of plastic. For the past 65 years they have been making plastic, they still haven’t figured out a way to dispose of it. There is enough trash in our world we could spread it all the way across California. 70 percent of our discarded plastic ends up in dumps or landfills. But some plastic ends up in oceans, and when plastic gets in the ocean it will break it up into tiny pieces. Then these tiny pieces start to affect the food chain, so at night you are basically eating plastic. At this rate, scientist predict that in 2050 the ocean will have more plastic than fish.

I think plastic is a big problem because nobody has done anything to dispose of it and it is polluting the ocean at an extremely high rate. I think we could reduce the plastic in the world by using other materials besides plastic and recycling it to make new things so it won't get thrown into the ocean.
I think plastic is a big problem becuase it creates lots of the waste in the world causing lots of polution. I think i do my part to reduse plastic and plastic waste by not useing straws and plastic water bottles and recycle.
yes i think plastic is a big problem because some people dont know how to take care of the plastic properly. yes, I do my part by cutting up the plastic holders that hold the pop bottles. I would help by picking up all the garbage and put in the proper bin.
I hope your right on when you said "I feel like in a couple of years someone will make plastic always re-usable" Because if thats the case we would end up saving the world becasue when people are just throwing stuff in the trash or littering, it is killing our world and the things that live in it.
I agree with you on how you said the garbage man just puts all the trash in the same spot, and they are not helping the probelm at all in fact they are making it worse. So i feel like they are not doing there part even tho they are a garbage man.
I agree with you and how you think we should be using re- usable things, for example you could take your own bag into a store and instead of them putting all your stuff in a plastic bag they could use the re-usable bag.
I agree with you because there won't be enough room for all the plastic to go,so it just ends up going in the oceans. It will then end up killing the anilmals in the oceans and then they will become extinct.
I agree with you on how we are effecting the animals with not recyling. Also Littering is a big probelm and it does make the whole thigs worse, honestly littering is one of my pet peeves, it bugs me so much when I see someone litter.
Plastic is a big problem, but it's easier to just throw it away. Some plastics cannot be recycled, and those plastics should stop being produced. Nobody will stop producing it because they make enough money, and they don't want to change their cash intake negatively. Humanity won't stop doing something until the result is almost upon us, and even then not everybody stops immediantly.
