in this story a plane engine blows mid flight a passenger on the flight states that "they looked out the window and half on the engine was gone." then the flight had to land in a eastern part of Canada. most engines are able to handle most types of objects that may get sucked into an engine of a plane. luckily the passengers and captain stayed calm during the incident.

i think that it was just a bird the flew into the engine on accident that could have ended very badly

I would stay as calm as I could and help others stay calm. I would follow the directions that the captains gave us. I don't know what would have made this happened, anything could have gone wrong to make this happen.
I would be really scared. I don't like planes and flying a whole lot so it would freak me out. I don't know what would have made this happen, I don't know anything about planes and what would make an engine blow up.
I would try to remain calm and make sure other people around me stayed calm and pray for the best. It could have been any number of things from a bird flying into the engian of a screw coming loose but from what I know there is no way for me to tell
If this happened to me I would try to stay as calm as possible, and listen to any instructions given to me by the Captain. It could have been anything that caused this to happen, the engine could have simply just gone out, or had a technical difficulty.
If this happened to me, I would first overcome the shock of the situation and then try to state calm. I would follow any safety instructions given to me and assist other in doing so, if needed. It's hard to tell just what happened to cause the plane engine to explode. It could have been a mechanical malfunction within the engine. It could have also been caused by something getting inside the engine.
I would try to stay calm and call my family just in case something else goes wrong. I think that the engine probably got something caught in it and couldn't handle it so it just stopped working.
1) First things first, I would say to myself this isn't happening. Blink, look again, and then ask for help or find someone. At first I would act like I'm calm, but it would be hard to be calm knowing you may possibly die from this.
2) Well, maybe the whole plane wasn't checked properly, or an animal flew into the engine and just took it off. Anything could have happened to this plane.
I would try to stay calm, but it would be very hard to. I'm not really sure what would've made this happen. Something may have gotten stuck in the engine, but I can't really say.
I would want to be calm, but that wouldn't be true to me. I would panic and be scared. There are so many things that could have happen, but I am glad they were able to be safe.
