On Thursday September, 18 a JetBlue plane took off from Long Beach, California headed for Austin, Texas. After 15 minutes into the flight, there was a loud thud which started the brush with disaster. After the thud the cabin filled with smoke. One report said that you couldn't see the person in front of you. The right plane engine had exploded. The captains turned around immediately and made it back to California safely. Only four people were injured. Only one was taken to the hospital.
Do you think that the incident should have been caught before the plane took off? Explain your reason.

Well done! Be sure to hyperlink correctly.
No I don't think they could have caught it. They probably did check the engine before take off, but anything could go wrong in only a few short minutes.
I'm pretty sure that they have to examine planes before being sent in the air, the only reason this probably happened would be if the engine caught something like a bird or if the people examining the plane did a terrible job.
I think they hit a bird or something. It happened when they were in the air so that's the only logical explanation.
no , some never know how long a aircraft engine going to last sometime you can't catch it in time before it happens. mechanic should do more procedure in checking it
The plane must not have been checked properly at take off.
The airplane probably should have been checked a little more thoroughly, it's all about safety and worst case scenario. I don't think it should have took off until it was checked better.
I think that the flight check people aren't doing there job and have killed more people then there should be.
No, sometimes accidents happen, the airline probably had no control over what happened. But if they did know there might be a problem they wouldn't have let the plane take off in the first place.
It should have been caught, and would've been caught if they had thoroughly checked the engines the right way.
