The Oklahoma City Thunder were going to Chicago from Minnesota when their plane hit a bird which left a huge dent in the nose of the plane. Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook said, "Seeing stuff like that just shows you how you need to cherish life and understand the important things in life and embrace the moment." When the plane hit the bird everyone in the plane could feel it. The bird was hit when the plane was 20,000 feet in the air. Many people were confused and surprised by the size of this dent. Which made many people wonder what they hit. Delta officials said that it was most likely a large bird. Thankfully no one was hurt in this incident.
Do you think the plane hit a bird, why?
How would you react when you found out you hit a bird and it did that much damage?

I think that the plane hit a bird because it's the most logical explanation for the dent. I guess that I would be nervous and also a little scared because that's just not something that happens all the time. But I would also be wondering what kind of bird it was because it must have been a pretty big one if it does that much damage.
I think there is no question about the bird not hitting the plane. A large bird must've hit the plane because people said they felt the impact of the bird while they were flying. Pilots and attendants generally tell the passengers what is happening on flights if something like that happens when they land. I would be very surprised when I saw the damage that the bird has done to the plane. That is insane, but luckily the plane landed safely and everyone was okay, minus the bird.
Of course, I don't know for sure but it could definitely be possible that it was a bird. You have to pull in consideration that the plan was very high and probably very fast too so I think even a little bird could damage a big dent.
I would feel relieved that it was nothing big or anything that that could be hurt.
I think it was a bird or maybe even a few. I would be extremely grateful for everyday I have. Seeing that much damage on the plane would make me think that it could've crashed with me in it.
I think the plane hit the bird because planes are very big and birds are small and it would make sense if the bird got hit by the plane because the bird is the only other thing in the air. I would be surprised at how much damage a bird could do to a very big plane.
I think the plane hit a bird because it would be the only thing in the air that would make sense. Birds are the only thing up there that you could hit, while they're flying they could've easily hit the plane. I would feel glad that we hit a plane and not another plane or something else that could've caused damage.
It had to be a really big bird to have caused that big of a dent in nose of the plane. I'd be thoroughly surprised that a bird did that much damage to the plane. Especially with how huge the dent was.
I think it is a possibility that the plane hit a bird in the air there arn't really a lot of other things to hit.
I would be surprised but not all that phased. a dent isn't a hole and doesn't impede the functionality of the plane.
To me the plane hitting a bird at 20,000 feet in the air seems almost impossible, but there is that one chance that it could happen. If a bird hit my plane and made that much damage I would defiantly be surprised because it would have to be a large bird to make that large of a dent in the nose.
