  • I honestly don't know why people plagiarise. Its pretty easy to read something and then change the words, people are just lazy i guess.
  • Weeelll. Sometimes people don't know their doing it and some times people do it because it's the easy way out.
And to answer the other question is that maybe they believe that plagiarism is when NONE of the words are yours. But its a different definition to different people.
Advice ~ google all your sentences it works :)
  • I was accused for plagiarism and I didn't even know that I was doing it. I never copied and pasted anything. I always would like revise the sentences but now I know that I have to do more than just that.
  • A lot of students do this just to get it done quickly because they wait till the last minute to do them. It is a lot easier to just copy and paste over but it is not the correct way to do a blog.
  • Well I'm guessing most of the people who do it, don't do it on purpose. A lot of people do it late, there tired..they don't realize there writing four words the same. Personally, I think that the person shouldn't just be convinced of Plagiarising and get a detention. Maybe you should talk to them about the blog one on one. If they don't remember anything, they most likely plagiarised. Besides that, its usually an accident...well i'd think anyway.
  • well i dont think everybody does it on purpose. maybe some copy and paste and go back and change it back to their own words. then they might forget to go back and change it. or what if somebody is getting their information out of a book and are reading as they type. then they may accidentaly type some the some. it happens.
  • People think that they can beat the system. I don't plagerise but was apparently checked because my blogs sound encyclopedia-ish. Should I take it as a compliment or an offense? I really could care less but... you know what mean.
  • I don't know about some people but there are a lot of people out there that would like to just plagiarize and not have to worry about doing their blog. Some people just want to get it done and not have to do it themselves.
  • People do it just so they don't have to take time to do it themselves. They would rather spend their time doing something else, and then the blog is due, so they copy and paste.
  • I don't think plagiarism can be an accident. Instead of reading sentence by sentence and copying, or simply copy and pasting, read the entire article of what you are researching. Then think about it. Then you can start writing what you remember. Look back for only things like specific details, such as a date or a name. I think that doing this will for one help you remember the important aspects, and two it should help you understand your topic better.
