A local pizza shop in New York wanted to help a community organization while putting a special treat on there pizza boxes. They decided to put pictures of dogs who are in shelters and need adopted. The idea came from Marry Alloy. She is the owner of the Pizza place. She came up with this idea because her 3 kids volunteered at the Niagara Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (SPCA). After putting the flyers on the boxes, a dog named Larry was adopted on Saterday. If you do end up adopting a dog, you get a 50 dollar gift card to their pizza shop.

I think that The flyers are definitly helping the sheltered dogs because they are on every box and the word it getting out. This is a great idea becuase their are lots of shelters that people don't know about. I definitly think that they should do cats. Cats deserve a loving owner just as much as dogs.

I think that this is a great idea to get that out there that there are a lot of dogs that need homes, so putting flyers on pizza boxes is a great idea to get it out there. In my opinion, I think this will help a lot beacuse it will put the idea of adopting a dog.
I would say it most likely is helping the dogs get adopted, or at least brings awareness to the animals at the shelter. Yes, I think that other animals would be a great idea, just not too crazy/gross ones.
I think this is awesome! I love the idea of promoting the purchasing of dogs because I am a huge animal lover. I absolutely think that the flyers would help the adoption of dogs because it spreads the word and reaches a lot of people who will be constantly looking at the box as they are eating. Personally I think that if the idea works for dogs, then they should definitely put more animals on the boxes. As I previously stated, I love the idea and would fully take part in it if given the chance.

I also think they should add more animals like cats becuase some people just like cats more than dogs and it will cause there to be less cats that are sheltered.

Yes i do think the the flyers are helping with the dogs getting adopted at the shelters. The flyers are a great way to get attention at a gas station or a local spot that everyone goes to, I think cats would be a little different because a lot of people dont like cats as much as dogs but it would be worth a try.
I think it will help because pizza is a very big product that is bought often every day, so if the dogs will be on the boxes and families want a dog. Then families will notice that the dog is cute , and will not want that dog being locked up anymore, so they will go and get one from the shelter, and add it to their family.

Yes I do. It brings awareness to more people and if someone is looking for a dog they could possibly find one because of this. I think they should do more animals that are pets, because not just dogs need help with getting adopted.
