Leach, a 22 year old pastor of several churches in Colorado Springs, faces multiple counts of sexual assault on a child. The girl was 15 when she gave birth to the child on September 15th. She didn't tell anyone she was pregnant until her mother noticed "a larger belly" on her daughter in May. Leach told his ex-wife he knows he made the worst mistake and that he "wouldn't go sleep with everybody's 13 or 14 year old daughter." In a recorded phone call, he admitted to having sexual relations with the 14 year old at least four times and then admitted to being the baby's father. Investigations continue to see if there are any other victims of Leach.

This more than likely made headlines because you don't see this very often. Usually would would hear something like this happen. He was already has multiple counts of sexual assault against him. I think this is really disturbing. I don't think things like this should ever happen.

I honestly think that if any 22 year old man impregnated a 14 year old girl would make headlines, but it just usually doesn't happen so you don't hear of it like you do this. I also believe that this is going to be such a big deal because he is a pastor and it is just so contradicting of what a pastor should do. I think he should serve some serious time in prison, if not life.
I think that it is wrong no matter who does it. It is honestly disgusting and shouldn't happen. Jail time is something he deserves, I agree.
I think this made headlines because this guy was a PASTOR, who is supposed to teach people the things they should and shouldn't do and also because this is against the law, considering she is wayyy under age. I think he should be charged with obviously sexual assult and possibly even rape, because she was a lot younger than he is, according to the law, even if it was consensual.
Either way it is gross. He should not have done anything with a 14 year old, but getting he pregnant is about the worst he could do. 8 years is a lot of age.
1). Pastors seem to be more 'trusted' in our society being the 'voice of god' in some circumstances. Also the fact that you do not hear of a Pastor being charged of acts of sexual assault in the headlines much.
2). Other than sexual assault, he obviously initiated in acts of pedophilia being 22 and impregnating a 14 year old, almost a decade difference between ages.
I think it made headlines because she was a 14 year old girl and he was a pastor. Being a pastor he shouldn't of done that considering their rules and the law. I think he should be charged with sexual assault and serve the normal sentence for that.
The law obviously didn't stop him. He does deserve some jail time.
Probably because he was a pastor, although I think that there shouldn't be a difference because it doesn't change what happened. I don't know what the common sentence for situations like this is, but he should definitely go to jail for a long time!
I don't think the sentence or consequences should be different, but it just seem weird to hear this. Jail time is something that i think could help him in the best way possible.
