The shooting happened in a motel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The parents where shoot after the 3 year old grabbed a 45 caliber handgun out of the mothers purse. the child only shot one shot but got both the father in the butt and pregnant mother in the arm. the parents were arrested about a week later after being treated and charged with child abuse to both of there kids. There bond is set at 15,000 each.

I can't imagine how it must feel to be the boy's sister. It's just ridiculous how people could be so dumb as to leave a handgun where it can be easily found, especially when they have children. It's also very sad to think that there are people out there who abuse their children. There are some awful people in this world. I don't know if the parents will be out soon or not, but I hope that they remain in jail for a while.
i agree they should stay in jail for a while. i feel bad for the kids i hope they go somewhere better.
I'm not sure how I would feel as the boys sister, but I'm sure that unless the are able to make bail, they won't get out a county for at least a few weeks. Abuse is a huge topic around the nation, and any small topic like this could get huge just because it's a topic of debate.
I would be freaking out and scared. I don't know if they have a permit but they wont be in much trouble I don't think if they have a firearm. I would still be freaking out and scared
I would be worried what would happen to the parents and the child. I would think that they won't be in jail for long if the wife had a permit to have a firearm.
