Pangolins may have been the cause of Caronavirus.

It has been believed that the coronavirus first came up in bats and then was transferred to humans through an other animal. Chinese health oficals say that the panglion may have been the missing part in that theory. South China Agriculture University says that the new information they have found will play a big role into curing the virus. The research team states that they have tested more then 1,000 animals and discovered a 99% match in the genome sequeces of the pangolines and the human patients. Researches say that the pangolin is valued for their meat and that is how the virus would have been transferred.  The virus was said to have been at a seafood market in Wuhan. People ate the meat, and that caused a ripple affect throughout the world. If you would like to read more, click here

1.Would you believe that the pangolins might have been the missing key to curing the caronavirus?

Yes, because if you look at the research, it all lines up with the pangolins and the humans who were contaminated.

2. Do you think that with this new data , the researchers will be able to cure the virus?

Yes, but not right away. I think that they will need to run a lot more test to prove their theory.

  • Good overall Luke. Be sure to capitalize key words in your title and also comment a few more times on the first page.

  • I agree with you. Yes I think that these animals could be a huge part of why this disease is spreading so fast. I do not think that they will be able to cure this virus or if they do it won't be for awhile because it is spreading so fast and its going to srpead even faster the more time goes on.

  • It might be, we don't know for sure since its a theory. Maybe if it is the cure, but the cure will not happen right away, it would just take time to develop a immunity to the virus.

  • With the research on that the pangolins might be the missing key to curing this virus, I think that they are. Scientists have basically proven this fact. With this new data, they could solve the coronavirus in the future. I think they still need to do a lot of research about this topic before they come to any conclusions. However, this might be the missing piece they needed to find a cure.

  • I think that the Pangolins could have been the cause of coronavirus. If the coronavirus started at a market and Pangolins are commonly ate in China, it could've very easily started from a Pangolin. Also if their genome sequences have a 99% match with patients with the coronavirus, it makes sense that they could've started it. I think that once the scientists know where the coronavirus comes from, it will be easier to find a cure.

  • I think that based on what you've said in this passage, the pangolins definitely were the missing piece in the puzzle to solve the mystery of the corovirus' origin. It completely makes sense that the pangolins would've originally held the virus, and when people ate them at the seafood market, the virus entered into them and infected them. As you said, after that, it was a ripple effect from one person to the next because the virus is spread through human-to-human contact. I'm not sure if this knowledge will be enough for scientists to be able to cure the virus, but as I don't know much about the subject, I can't accurately testity to whether or not this information will help them that much.

  • I believe that they could be the missing key. Especially since they are being killed for their meat and aren't usually eaten. I think there is a very high chance that if the virus is from pangolins they will find shortly after and cure everyone.

  • I think pangolins could be the cause, they are a much more exotic animal and considering that some areas of China don't have amazing food regulation, a poorly cooked bit of pangolin meat could have caused the spread of the virus. I think so, but it will take a month or so.

  • Yes i think that the pangolins might have been what was causing it considering that the virus started in a fish market and they mihgt end up being the cure as well. I think thay with this new data we might be able to start producing the cure and get all the fear of the virus out of the news.

  • Yes. Like you said, the research lines up with the pangolins and the humans. I think they will be able to cure the virus, but perhaps not for a while. They already have a good start with connecting the dots, but they will need more information to create a vaccine or a cure for the virus.
