The city, Cape Town located in South Africa is limited to 13 gallons of water per day. This town is also suffering from a shortage of bottles of water. The mayor of Cape town said "We can no longer ask people to stop waisting water, we must force them." This is saying that the mayor of cape town is going to have to force the people to stop waisting water. Also the mayor was estimating that the city will end up running out of water on May 11, 2018. This will also be called "Day Zero". "Day Zero" had arrived a little bit to early for the city and one of the residents mentioned that they woke up at 5 a.m. to shower and there was not a drop of water that came out.

There was a whole lot of caos from this. There was a bunch of people leaving the city, so the population had went down to much to count. Pretty soon some people are going to die of thrist unless the city fixes the water problem, but will be very dificult to do because they do not have much money. Stores where running all out of bottled water because the people where rushing into the stores to get as much water as they could. All prayers go out to this city to hope that there water will be back up and running before anything bad happens.

  • Well done Connor!

  • 1. Well I would go to the city and go buy some water and bring it back to use.

    2. I would feel weard and don't want to do that if I don't have too.

  • I would try to conserve as much water as I could. I would also buy as much bottled water as I could. I probably wouldn't like that. I think that it would be even worse for the people who live in populated areas.

    • For sure I would definietly do the same thing as you would on conserving as much water as you could and also buying as much bottle water because it could help out your family and even other familys. Yes it would be bad for people who lived in populated areas to use the restroom outside.

  • I would save as much water as I could and cut back on the shower and running water. I wouldn't mind it but after awhile I would feel uncomfortable and the weather outside would change my mind. I would probably move to another town that doesn't have a problem with water.

    • I totally agree with you here about saving as much water as you can because it could end up saving you in the long run. I also would proably end up moving to a different city that doesnt have a water problem if this happend to me.

  • 1. I would probably leave the town to go to one that has water supply.

    2. It wouldn't seem right because you would have all of that in your yard. Especially in the winter, it would be very inconvenient.

    • I would most likley do the exact same thing as you would and leave the town because it would suck not to have running water. Yes it would be very weird to have people using the restroom in your yard.

  • I would conserve the water and maybe raise money

I would not complain and just do what I have to do.

    • I totally agree with you on conserving water, because that could help out alot on rasing money. I kind of agree with you on the second answer but I would not be very happy if I had use the restroom outside.
