One of Canada's Most Wanted Was Arrested in U.S.

Parthasarthie Kapoor was arrested Monday, January 20 at Newark-Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Kapoor was one of the top 10 most wanted people in Canada. He became the subject of a police investigation in 2003 for his crimes. Shortly after discovering he was wanted by the police he fled to the United States from Canada. Kapoor was arrested as he was trying to flee the U.S. to his home country India. His punishment has not yet been determined. To read more click here.

1. Do you think that Kapoor would have been found and arrested if he wouldn't have tried to flee the country? Why?

I think that Kapoor wouldn't have been caught if he would have just stayed under the radar and continued to do what he was doing before. I think the reason he was caught was because he was at a large airport which has lots of security.

2. How do you think Kapoor managed to stay under the radar for so long?

I believe that Kapoor most likely got a fake ID and he didn't have much of a social life because he had to keep a low profile so others wouldn't recognize him.

  • Overall, your summary is brief. Good job replying!

  • Maybe he would not be arrested in USA who knows, the point is that he is arrested. Such people can not live normally in normal society because they harm people and refuse to work hard and bulid his own life properly. Instead they choose to steal, kiil and decieve people who work and live propoerly.  He seems to be a profescional so that he could aviod being arrested for so long.

  • I agree with you. Showing your face in an airport after being wanted is a stupid mistake. High security there, and cameras everywhere. This is why he was probably caught. I think he had someone help him stay low, or tried creating a new image for himself.

  • I don't think that he would have been found because he committed his crimes in 2003 and we are only now finding him in 2020, so if he just stayed in the U.S. he would have been fine. I think that Kapoor got a fake ID, and he probably stayed quiet and didn't do very much while he was in the U.S.

    • I agree that because he had hidden for so long he was not very well known anymore, but because he went to a high-security airport he was most likely seen on a camera or when he gave them his passport which eventually led to his capture.

  • i think that he would not have been found because in canada there is somany places to hide there is just miles and miles of land and so many lakes witch is why i think it was so easy to stay under the radar you wouldent have to have to go to the store for anything if you just have a fishing pole you can just catch fish to get food

    • I agree with you. He could've just stayed there maybe in a cabin in the woods and would have been fine. But he probably wouldn't be able to stay there forever. Although fish is good I don't think he would be able to live off of just that.

    • I agree that he could have just hid out in the woods and that way no one would have ever found him.

  • If he tried to stay under the radar he wouldn't have been found and get caught. He probably has done some illegal things to get what he wants but still tried to be under the radar. Probably he didn't socialize because there would be chances to be caught.

  • Well since he was one of the most wanted man in Canada, I think it wouldn't have mattered if he tried to flee or not, they would find him. If he made it back to India then maybe they would not be a able to get to him.
