Officers Using Tasers On Ten Year-Olds.

Deputies use taser on 'out of control' child.Colorado sheriff's deputies shocked an "out of control" 10-year-old child with a Taser and arrested him. Apparently they found the boy destroying property at this foster home and that they were justified in their use of force. The boy was said to have threatened them with a pipe and a stick, and supposedly threw piece of wood at them. The boy was arrested on suspicion of menacing with a deadly weapon.Arkansas officer who tasered a girl, 10, is fired.This has happened before.. an officer in Arkansas was fired because he used a stun gun on an 'unruly' ten year old girl. He was not fired because of tasering the girl, but because he failed to use the camera attatched to it. The mother of the girl was the one who called the police because her daughter was refusing to take a shower... the mother gave the cop permission to tase her daughter if it was necessary. The officer said she was violently kicking and that she was verbally combative. When thy tried to take her into custody, she kicked the officer in the groin. The girl received a very brief drive stun to her back.

thats crazy. isnt that abuse in a way, giving the cops permission to tase their kid. Big deal anyway, she could have gone without a shower for a while.

Police should not be tasering ten-year-olds unless they are doing something life threatening. That's it.

He was in a foster home, I'd go crazy too. I'm sure the big tough police guy coulda handled it without the taser.

can parents get tasers to use on their kids? then wouldn't have to call the cops to have their kids obey

Oh my. The mom called the police because she refused to take a shower? I love taking showers. Ha, but I think police should be more worried about the people who are older than 10 that are running around crazy that could actually harm someone.

ok. well for the first story. Obviously the kid isnt happy where he is. Or maybe he doesnt know any better. You cant teach a kid right and wrong by tasering them. ESPECIALLY a ten year old. The kid has every right to try to protect himself. I dont think he should be arrested.

OH MY GOSH. the second story is just had to believe. Seriously, for refusing to take a shower? Be realistic, a lot of kids around the world refuse to take a shower. That doesnt mean that you call up a police officer and have the girl get tasered.

If police officers can't handle a 10 year old and have to use a taser they should be fired. Honestly this is pathetic.
