This wiener dog is so obese that people used to be able to hear his belly drag. After that the dog had lost so much fat that there was extra skin. Then later the dog went the vets and got the extra skin removed. His other owners were killing him with kindness, they over feed him. The dog then got to be with a family that had a vet. They were feeding him a special kind of formula that caused him to loose weight. On the bottom of his belly was all black because of all the infections and tissue. After the 2 hour surgery they took off like 2 ½ pounds.
I think this is an amazing story. Although to think that his previous owners over fed him and almost killed him is so sad. At least though they have found something to help dogs’ lose weight. I can’t imagine how much fat and how heavy it was caring all that weight around.

The previous owners had their hearts in the right place, but they should have feed him the amount of food that was suggested for a dog of his breed, age, and size. I think that it is great that the veterinarians helped him so that the poor dog wouldn't have to suffer anymore.
I think it is crazy how they almost killed him by feeding him so much! I think they were only being loving owners and trying to make the animal as happy as possible.
Poor puppy! I'm sure the previous owners had the right intentions, but they should have really been more aware of what they were doing and the serious risks it was putting their dog in!
I bet the dog's owners were over feeding him in extreme amounts and didn't give him much exercise.
I'm glad the dog is okay, but this is a good lesson to other dog owners. I think many people feed their dogs whatever they want, but they need to realize that dogs need good nutrition too. They need to be just as healthy as people in order to exercise and play how they want to.
This is sad but crazy that the dog was over weight. I just can't believe that would do surgery on a dog. Owners need to be careful how much they feed their pets.
This is crazy!! At least it help his tummy out so it wont look bad anymore! But i have never heard of dogs getting tummy tucks until this. But i think it sounds really cool!! maybe they should walk this mutt a little more than just feed him tons!
This is crazy how big that dog is! I have never seen a dog that fat before.. Thats crazy! Im glad hes getting skinnier though and hopefully healthier.
i think that dogs should be able to fed table scarps but the owners need to know when enough is enough..dogs cant handle all that human food there is a reason that they have their own food. im happy this dog is getting a second chance at life.
I feel really terrible for this dog having to go through all that. Dogs are going to eat I suppose and its the previous owner's fault for getting the poor thing so fat. Their intentions were probably good but in the end it hurt the the dog. I'm glad he's in a better home now though.
