  • It could have been a light switch with and electric problem, or a cigarette. If the building was wasn't up to code I think the people who threw the party should have known better and same with the guest. If I was there and it looked trashy I think I would leave because you don't know whats going to go on.

  • they were probably having a party and someone could have maybe not put out a cigarette or something and it didn't go out could've sparked the fire.

    • yeah maybe they were smoking and that started the fire

  • I think just poor maintenance and probably electrical issues with some sort of appliance. Officials have called it almost like a "tinder box" which means one small spark could have started this conflagration. This fire was easily preventable. First of all, the warehouse was not up to code at all, therefore should not have been inhabitated by people. Secondly, a simple sprinkler system being installed would have kept the damage down significantly.

    • yeah people should have not have been there at all and it was a tragedy that shouldnt have occurred and we need to fix these issues for the future

  • There could be a lot of reasons that the fire started like electrical problems, dry wood and fire, or even gas leaks. There aren't really ways to prevent these problems if there was 40 people around, especially if they aren't supposed to be in the building and the people didn't do anything.

  • I think it was an electrical accident that no one had any control over. If people are just careful and cautious I think that will be a step in the right direction.

    • I agree if people take more time to be careful the will be on the right path

  • Never know, if it was a party someone who was drunk or anyone could have been messing around somehow starting the fire. Should have tried to have the party somewhere else as well as try to get rid of all flammable things in the house.
