Cursive is a type of handwriting that is usually taught to us when we are in elementary school. It includes basically different fonts of the ABC’s. Cursive was first used in ancient rome, medieval, and the resistance times and so on till today. It has been around for a long time, but what is it used for? Cursive is used for efficient and fast hand written notes, poems, or letters. Yes we use it for our signature sometimes, but is it really necessary to teach in school?

 

𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓈𝒾𝓋ℯ 𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓂𝓅ℴ𝓇𝓉𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝒶 𝓁ℴ𝓉 ℴ𝒻 𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓈ℴ𝓃𝓈． 

Like can you even read that sentence without having to look twice? It was used a lot by the past generations and has almost disappeared in ours. Our grandparents and parents both write in cursive pretty often. And if it is a valuable message you are gonna want to be able to read it. And some people would like to be able to write their signature in cursive still just incase!

 

On the other hand, most people don’t feel a need to know cursive since it is never used anymore. Most signatures now are either printed, scribbles, or online. We use technology more and more everyday. Soon people will forgot about this ancient handwriting and move on with technology. We can let fonts do the work instead of learning a wholw new system of the ABCs.

 

I feel like cursive is important in personal ways, but I don’t think it should be taught in schools as a whole subject. If someone wants to learn cursive maybe they should look online or take a class on it. But we shouldn’t teach cursive in class time when we could be teaching them more important things.

Should cursive be taught in school? Yes, I do think it should be fought in school because it is a good thing to learn. It can be very useful at times and a cool way to write some things. Can you read cursive? If it is printed cursive I can but if it is someone else's it is often sloppy and harder to read.

I agree with you that it is useful at times and a very unique way to write. It dont think it should be taught during school hourse though. Maybe do like an after or before school class fo the students that want to learn curisve. And I agree that others peoples curisve is pretty hard to read.

I can write cursive, but i don't use it at all. I don't think that you need to know how to write in cursive at all. that would be your choice if you really want to learn cursiveyou can if helps you write faster then writing in the normal way. But i don't think that you would have to write in cursive at all.

I agree that it should not be taught in school and you can take something on your own time. I dont usually use cursive either so i wouldn't blame you if you didn't use it ever. I would rather write in a hand writiing i can understand too.

I think it should be taught in schools. Sure, it is difficult to read at first, but if someone is getting a letter from a grandparent, and they write in cursive, they have the right to read what they said. I think it is also really helpful in development and makes people understand different ways to right letters.

I agree that people should be able to read things from their loved ones always. But i disagree with it should be forcibly taught in school. When i was taught curisve a lot of my class mates did not pass the unit. Which makes me think kids dislike curisve at such a young age.

I don't think cursive should be taught in school just because it doesn't seem that important. Even though it's efficient for writing you can barely read it which makes things way more complicated than it needs to be. Cursive doesn't really have many benefits besides looking cool.

Should cursive be taught in school? why or why not? I think that is a necessary to have because many people around the world writes like that. And if would be a cool skill to have in the future. In the end it is important skill to have and also you sign stuff with your signature in cursive.

Also, if you have kids you will need to be able to sign the papers they bring home. There are just a lot of reasons why cursive is necessary and it is very important.

I think it wouldnt be a bad idea to have cursive as an extra curricular for those who really want to know how to write cursive for poems, and other things that might be more formal than a simple essay. Yes, I can read most cursive. I can write a cursive lowercase e and a cursive lowercase l. I really cant see the benifits of cursive.
