A 37 year old Texas man, William George Davis, was sentenced to death after being charged for 4 counts of murder after injecting heart surgery patients with air-filled syringes. Between the years of 2017 and 2018, Davis killed four men; John Lafferty, Ronald Clark, Christopher Greenaway and Joseph Kalina. He entered their room after they underwent open-heart surgery, and injected said patients with an air-filled syringes, causing permanant brain damage and, ultimately, death. During the trial, the heart surgeon for three of the four victims, D. William Turner, explained that "There couldn't be any possible way air entered the arterial lines during surgery." William George Davis was convicted of 4 counts of murder on Oct. 19, 2021.
I think he deserved it because there should be no reason to take a persons' life unless they did something horrible to society, prime example being the suspect. I also feel the death sentence was a very suitable conviction for Davis, especially since he took the lives of four men who did nothing wrong.
Do you think he deserved to be given the death sentence? Why or why not?
What do you think about his actions?

This isn't the type of story I am looking for students to do. This is more of an article summary of a random current event. I am looking for topics that educate and require more thoughts and opinions from you. Also, be sure to comment more frequently.
I think that he deserved the death penaltie becuase he killed 4 inocent people. I think that it is really stange that he somehow got away with this 4 times. I cant belive that they let 4 people die before they figured out that someone was killing them and it was not the surgens fault.
If Davis was actually guilty of commiting this crime towards these people, then I think he probably asked to be given the death sentence. His actions were cruel towards those innocient people. They had a life ahead of them and someone they thought they could trust killed them.
i don't think it was ok for her to be put to death unless he did it on purpose. I think he could of done something different.
I believe that he deserved the penalty beacuse he took the life of 4 other people. If you take life then I think your life should be taken. I know that sounds gruesome but thats the real world. His action was sickening. I agree with the judges decisions.
I personally do think he deserved it because he took 4 peoples lives so he can't just go on with life unbothered. I think his actions are very bad and nothing like this should ever happen again and this is why medical laws should be stricter.
yes, I mean he killed 4 humans that did nothing wrong. His actions weren't necassary, they were cruel, selfish, and incompetent. So he deserves every punishement he could get.
I think so yes, I dont think he shouldv'e done what he did
I think he should be put in jail for his actions instead of the death penalty. The death penalty is almost letting them escape their actions. I think he should be put in jail so he can reflect on his actions and be punished for his actions. I think he was just careless. I can't say why he would do such a thing but what he did is inhumane.
I Think he should live the rest of his life in a prison just like all of the other murderers. People should have to live with the consequences of their actions. When you give them the death sentance you practicaly let them free. They dont have to do anything to make up for what they did.
