After the earthquake that Japan just had, a fire started at a nuclear power plant Monday, causing radiation to leak out into the air in northeast Japan. The amount of radiation can cause severe damage to everybody's health. The prime minister, Naoto Kan reported that there is a chance more of the plant could leak. Everyone around 19 miles of the nuclear plant is supposed to stay in their home and not go outside so that they won't become sick from the radiation. Link

  • That's dangerous and scary for those people
  • the United States should look at the safety of the nuclear plants here after this disaster.
  • I feel so bad for japan the way it is. This just makes it even worse.
  • i hate how japan has had to go through all of this just in the matter of a week. Earthquake, tsunami, volcano spews, nuclear reactor radiation, WHEN IS IT GOING TO END FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!

  • i definately think it's good to help them.. i mean if you have those types of resources and can be of help, it's almost like a responsibility. if something like that happened to us, im sure we'd want people to do the same.
  • These horrible things just keep happening.
  • All of the crazy things that have happened to Japan is very sad. I don't know what I would do if something like that ever happened to me.
  • how do you fix radiation in the air?
  • Who told them not to use Nuclear Energy? Weeee did. And what did they do. Used Nuclear Energy. And look at them now. And we're supposed to go help them?...Kind of a burden
    • TONY. We didn't "tell" them anything. The u.s. Has 104 nuclear plants, and from reports Ive heard, about 10% violate some sort of safety precaution or are obsolete.
