NFL Player Stabbed

Mike Williams, wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was stabbed in the leg in his home in a gated community Sunday afternoon. Not much is known about the reason or who did the stabbing but he was taken to the hospital and later discharged. Some thoughts on the matter are that he was not being completely lawful after facing criminal charges in December and getting many complaints from his neighbors. You can read more about this and his doubtful future with the buccaneers here.

What do you think the cause of the stabbing was?

What do you think will his future in the nfl look like?

  • Maybe a neighbor was really upset with him for the what the charges were for. I don't think the NFL should keep him, or at least not let him play for a while for getting in trouble.

  • Considering it was to the leg, it doesn't seem pretty good! I don't know why someone would stab him, unless someone had a problem with him.

    • obviously the only reason he would've gotten stabbed is if someone didn't like him.

  • If the leg problem isn't seriously bad, I don't think it will affect his career as a football player. He'll need to go through physical therapy of course, but the football season isn't for another few months. I think the cause of the stabbing was probably just a person that didn't like the guy and wanted to end his career, or do something horrible to him. I man/woman might have thought that he didn't deserve to be apart of the game, so they tried taking him down by themselves.

  • I think a fight could have caused this, but this kind of stuff happens way to much in sports, the players are always getting in trouble or getting in fights.

  • I'm not sure of why he got stabbed in the leg.  Hopefully the answer is found so everyone knows.  Also, hopefully he is able to play football at the pro level still.  Good thing he is okay, though.

  • Hopefully he will be okay. I think he will just need some time to heal before he can play again and take it easy.

  • well the cause could be just about anything but i do hope he recovers.

  • I think if neighbors are complaining about him, then it's possible that they think they had enough reason to hurt him.
