An NFL player being shot and killed is not something that you would expect to happen very often. Defensive end for the New Orleans Saints Will Smith was shot and killed by Cardell Hayes last Saturday. Hayes attorney says that he was not the aggressor in this situation, as he was rear ended just moments before he came across the former NFL player. Smith and Hayes exchanged words and then Hayes shot and killed Smith, then shot his wife twice in the leg. Hayes is charged with second degree murder.

1. How would you feel if you were Smith's wife?
2. Do you think that Hayes was the aggressor in this situation or not? Explain.
My opinion- If I was his wife I would feel awful, I would try to do everything that I could to make sure that this guy went to jail for the rest of his life. I think that Hayes was the aggressor in this situation, because if he was rear ended earlier and found outwho it was why would he even have a gun, in the first place.

I would feel horrible I think it was because we all get road rage but not that bad
I agree he shouldn't have taken it that far and shot someone.
I would feel devastated, as anybody would. It would be so heartbreaking to lose your loved one. I think that Hayes took it too far, he may have been angry yes, but that is absolutely no reason to shoot multiple people, and actually kill one of them.
I also think that he took it to far he had absolutely no reason to even be carrying a weapon with him.

I would be sad, angry, confused, and overall upset by this unprovoked event. It would obviously be important to me to put away the man who carried out this heinous crime.
I think that Hayes was the aggressor. I'm not sure whether or not it was Smith who rear-ended him, but whether it was or not, Hayes was already angry about the wreck and lashed out on somebody innocent.
I agree, I do not think that he should have done anything like this even if he was upset.
