Menards said on Monday that they are expanding their store in Council Bluffs with the purchase of the old Mall of the Bluffs. Their plans are to tear down the mall and build a new store one that will give lots of new opportunities. Demolition plans are in place to begin this winter, the current occupants have been served notices that they have to vacate the building. Menards has done business in Council Bluffs for 25 years plus, and the building their in is currently to small and they have to build bigger to fulfill the needs of the moving economy.
Do you think that it is fair to the existing people to have to find somewhere else to do business?
What kind of new opportunities do you think this new bigger Menards will bring?

I think that this new bigger Menards will bring lots of new and good opportunities for lots of people. I think because it's going to be right off the interstate that more and more people will see it and maybe even want to go in, even just to see what it is. I think that it would have a lot more things in stock at one time because it will be bigger, which would give them more business.
I think it would bring more poeple becasue it is right off the inerstate so that mean more poeple will see and then it will have more stuff or more things so they do not run out as much as they do at there small store.

I think its fair, because usually you have to buy them out. And they have to agree to it. So it isn't that messed up. And that will bring more business to Council Bluffs. It'll bring a lot more people to council bluffs maybe.
I dont think it is because they still need jobs and people still shop at that mall. I think it will offer new jobs and new shoppng and customers.
Yes, I do believe that it is fair. The existing people have no right to the Mall of the Bluffs, rather I think they should just be happy that they got it for as long as they did. As for what opportunities it might bring, I would guess it would give people more selection, and they wouldn't have to drive as far for the things that the Menards offers.
I think that it had to happen sometime because that mall was very run down and taking up a lot of space with nothing in it. But I think it will be great for the business of Menards because it is a great location for the strore right off the interstate and they will have a lot of space for it and it will help out the neighborhood of council bluffs.
I agree that something like this was bound to happen becasue of how run down that mall is, and there are very few buissneses left there. I also think it will be good for Menards because of the location and size of it will allow them to sell more items.
I think that it is unfortunate that the few remaining stores will be forced to close, but there are barely any stores left in the Mall of the Bluffs and they should have seensomething like this coming. I think that a new bigger menards will draw in a lot of people.
I agree with you because the smaller stores still remaining at the Mall of the Bluffs should have known something like this was bound to happen because the mall has been getting noticeably smaller over the years. I also think the newer and bigger menards will benefit menards and draw many people to it.
