New York's subway stations.

In the past, there have been many attacks on new york's train stations that have been classified as terrorist attacks. Here recently there was one, somebody by the name of Frank James shot 10 people and used smoke grenades which injured more people. the reasoning for this attack is unknown at the time but Frank awaits a federal court hearing for violating a law that prohibits terrorist and other violent attacks against a mass transportation system.

According, to officer William Phillips the subways do not take safety seriously enough as the only security, is NYPD (New York City police department) officers walking around the train station. proper security measures need to be taken such as metal detectors and baggage detectors just by doing this we can drastically reduce the number of attacks at this train station.

There have many attacks at the train stations and taking other security measures could reduce the numbers, but that is not the only reason people are getting hurt at this train station. Mayor Adams has recently announced that there is going to be a wall with doors so people do not fall in front of the train this has been on the planing since the murder of Michele and many more deaths. Overall.they are trying to improve safety

Is this enough for all the people that have died due to the train station?

What are ways they can make train stations safer?

What do you think Frank's charges should be?

  • Anthony, this is more of an article summary. I am needing more of your thoughts and opinions within your summary.

  • I don't know, I think this is one places where you can do nothing because everything is so busy and even in Germany it's normal that people get stabbed there or you get involved in fights. If the police would send more officers to those places it might help.

  • I think that if these terrorist attacks on train/subway stations continue, safety measures should be tightened to protect the passengers.  I think that metal detectors would help, but it would be a huge inconvinience to the otherwise efficient method of transportation that subways provide.

  • Personally, I think that subways could always use more security, because you never know what could happen. Everyday is unpredictble and anything can happen. Good or Bad. I also think that these subways could be cleaner, but its kinda like a big carpool so it helps with transportation.

  • I do no think there is enough secerity in the train stations. I think there are several things that could be possibly put in place to create a safer environment for those who chose to tale the trains and subways. It is a very busy area and it makes it very easy to commit crime without getting caught.

  • I definintly think they need better security measures put in place in the train stations. Since there are so many people gathered in one place at one time there can be so many things that go unnoticed with everyone there.

  • I think that there is a major need to put better security in place in train stations, and even the trains as well. There are so many people in one area, and this can lead to lots of crimes that go unnoticed. They could easily make the stations safer by implementing more security guards and cameras.

    • i agree and puting security guards on each train would help aswell

  • I think there needs to be more security measures put in place on trains and in train stations. People don't take into account how dangerous those areas can be. There are tons of children and random people all together at one time and committing a crime would be almost effortless.

  • Train stations need to have better security due to how many dangerous people can be lurking. So many young children and adults use the train stations on a daily basis to get to school, work, home, etc. They could definitely make train stations safer by putting more security guards around and lots of cameras. Frank should be charged.
