On February 11 & 12, 2011 Maksim Gelman killed four people in a matter of 24 hours that spanned from two cities. Also including two attempted murders, two counts of first and second degree robbery and second degree assault. He recieved the maximum sentencce for his crimes.

I didnt think that you could get sentenced TWO HUNDRED years to life.

  • He deserves this amount of time in jail for what he did. I hope he regrets what he did.
  • This man definitely deserves the 200 years in prision, even though he will probably die before thats up. Whats the point of going around hurting and killing so many people? Its plain sick! Hes just putting himself in jail is what hes doing. Ruining his life. I feel sorry for the families of the injured and deceased people.
  • i think the sentence should be just stay until he died .. sentence of 200 years its kinda dumb.. nobody live so much like that
  • I think that's weird. I mean they're obviously going to die within like 80 years. Why 200 years? UNless it adds up years from each person he murdered or something. Or they just want to make sure he's dead so he can't get out.

  • What was he thinking?! All of those crimes in such a small time period.
  • 200 years?? why not just say his sentence is to life??
  • I personally think he deserves it for killing four people, and i think they were just stating that it was likely that he wouldn't get parole.

  • Why don't they just sentence you to life in jail and leave it at that. Do they really expect this guy to live 200 years?
  • This just goes to show how screwed up our judicial system is. A man will not can not live for 200 years. Just give him life in prison instead of making up numbers that can't ever exist in the time of human life.

  •  well, he has a lot of time to think about his actions..and he definitely diserves it
