Friday September 20 marks the day that the two new iPhones were made available to the public. The new iPhones are the iPhone 5s, an updated version of the iPhone 5 which now includes a fingerprint scanner and comes in one new color. The iPhone 5c which is a cheaper plastic iPhone and also comes in five different colors.
In many Apple store locations early friday morning there were huge lines wrapped around the building for people waiting to be one of the first of millions to buy a new iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c. In one of Apple’s London locations they sold out of all iPhone 5s in under two hours. One man in the UK had camped out for 5 days to become the first person in line. He was even offered 300 pounds which is about $480 for his place in line but he declined.
What do you guys think of the new iPhones? Would you buy one? I personally would like the white/silver iPhone 5s if I could pick one. I feel like the 5c is more directed at girls with the new colors and that they should add more gender neutral colors.

Well personally I think this is kinda sad. I love my Iphone and technology but camping out for days seems a little extreme. I think that the news Iphones seem very cool and i like the color idea. But I'm a little surprised over peoples obsession for them.
It is pretty crazy that people will take five days off their life and maybe off of work to wait in a line for a phone.
I don't think Apple needs to keep updating this often. If you keep updating with each one, I honestly think that's wasting money. An iPhone 4 seems like it'd be just as good. But, I really don't have any experience with Apple products, so my opinions are probably biased.
I think that people will get bored with the old technology and want more after a while but good point.
I'm so excited to get this phone! I have the iphone 4s right now, but when my upgrade is due.. I plan on getting the iphone 5C. I do like the 5S, but I think you make a good point by saying it's pointed more towards girls. The colors are pretty girly, which may be why I like the phone so much because I'm used to white, gold, silver and black like the other iphones. I agree with them trying to make the iphone 5c's have different colors that are more appealing to the boys, but other than that.. I'm excited to get this phone.
They sound really awesome and stuff but I already heard that one got dropped and the screen cracked already. I'm pretty sure there are really sturdy and wouldn't just do that on a usual occasion. I would like to get one, the fingerprint scanner is the most awesome thing I have heard of that"s on a phone.
My sister got the regular 5 instead of the 5c because it is made out of a tougher, harder to break, material. The iPhone 5c also has cheaper software than the regular 5. I wouldn't mind trying out the IPhone 5s's fingerprint scanner to see if it worked pretty well.
The 5c is made of cheaper things than the five but has the same software as the 5.
