The spacecraft "New Horizons" was released nine years ago with its mission to take up close pictures of Pluto, the dwarf planet. It was blasted off in January 2006 to make the three billion mile journey. After all this time, it if finally getting close enough to start taking pictures. Although it is close, it is still about 130 million miles away, so the pictures will still be distant. On July 14 of this year, New Horizons will pass closest to Pluto. The first photographs are expected to be received this week and released to the public shortly after. The pictures of Pluto are to be used to discover more about the dwarf planet and will help create topographic maps of its surface, along with one of its moons, Charon. After studying Pluto, the craft with investigate other objects in the Kuiper Belt left over from the birth of our solar system around 4.6 billion years ago.

Do you think this new information will be useful and why?
Is it important to know how are solar system was created and why?

Well done!!
Yes it will help answer questions about Pluto and form even more questions which will help us better understand our solar system. Yes I do think this will help us learn how our solar system was created because it gives us answers to questions we never even thought about.
I think that any new information regarding space is news because it's the next frontier and it need to be explored in order for us to understand it. The information will also be really useful for new and old studies and will be really amazing to see the pictures! I also think that knowing how our solar system was created will bring us closer to either proving or really disproving theories of how the universe was really created.
This is very exciting. We will finally be able to extend our knowledge on our solar system. With this knowledge we will be able to more acculturate know our planet. With more knowledge on our solar system we might get better understandings on how our solar system was created.
I think this is awesome that we have technology that can do this type of stuff. I think the information wont really mean a lot it will just tell us more about how Pluto looks. I think figuring more information out will help us in the long run with space information.
I think it will be useful because Pluto is a planet we know little about and it could be important if we were to know how our solar system was created because it could potentially give us a long shot at knowing how we were made or how god came to be.
That is a good point. I think it could potentially help us know more about our solar system and us.
i think that it could be because we don't know a lot about pluto and these picture will help us a lot. To me i don't think that it is that important about how our solar system was created.
I agree that the pictures will help find more about Pluto which would be useful in the future.
I think it will be useful to figure out what the planet's outer layers actually consist off and finding out more about the frozen planet. It might be important to know just in case something unpredictable happens in the near future.
