On New Year's Day, Netflix released "Tidying Up with Marie Kondo", this sparked an increase of how many clothes were donated to thrift stores.I think that Netflix had a good idea releasing it on New Year's Day because more people are vulnerable and untidy. Beacon's Closet in New York City said that "January is our slow season for donations but not this January". In the series a specific way of sorting through stuff is used. Instead of going through it all at the same time, you sort it into several categories. After the sorting is done you examine each item and see if it "sparks joy". I think the way the series shows you how to not become not so overwhelmed is what has made it so popular.
1.Do you think that this show will increase popularity or decrease in the months following New Year's?
2.Do you think this show would have an affect on you or anyone in your family?

I think that it will go down in the number of people watching it because most people will have already done this. I don't think that it would have any effect on anybody in my immediate family.
I think the popularity of the show will decrease because people who like it already watched it and others won't start watching it at all. I think you like it or not and so it won't get a lot more viewers. I think I wouldn't watch it because I prefer watching shows about a person or story.
I think this could help me, when I start to clean out a closet or drawer I get so overwhelmed I usually just throw everything back where it came from. If there's a could strategy to cleaning I could use it, I think it could also benefit many others.
I agree think that people usually forget about their new years resolutions after a couple months. I also think that it might not have as big of an affect because the show may not get out to everyone because it's not as interesting as other shows and not everyone has Netflix.
I think "Tidying Up with Marie Kondo" will decrease in popularity in the months after New Year's. It doesn't seem like many people would use this show extensivsely to clean their house or go through their closets. Considering I don't watch Netflix, this show won't have any affect on me or anyone in my family.
I agree, I think that for some people they don't know how a show can help people clean their houses. Instead, I think that people might need someone to push them to do these things.
I think that this show will decrease in popularity in the months following New Years. I think this because in January, people are trying to stick to their new years resultions, but many people don't continue their resolutions for long. People who's resolultions were to become more orgainized might die off and stop watching the show.
I agree, I think that people are sticking to this mostly because people are trying to stick to the resolutions they made and for a lot of people it's to get rid of things in the house. I also agree that resoultions don't use last for very long, so I think that the show may also decrease.
I think that the trend will continue to go up and the show will in fact increase in popularity. I do not believe that this show will have any effect on me or any of my family members, and this is simply because we don't have Netflix.
