  • I think that there should be a law for every state that you can't drop out because i think dropping out is kinda dumb. At least one state is making a good decision

  • most people are when they graduate! Its very smart on their part because then they do finish up their school!

  • I think it is a good idea, because  if you don't have a high school diploma its hard to find a job. I'm sure the students wanting to drop out will appreciate it in the long run.

  • I think if anything they should lower it! Ya theres a law no child left behind, boo hoo if a student doesnt want to be in school and put in the time thats there choice! Just take some of there priviliges away like some of the people that stayed in school would have!! There messing up some of the people that actually wanna learn by doing stupid stuff and interupting the teacher while shes teaching!

  • I am all for this bill! Kids need to get a education if they want to go anywhere in life besides flipping burgers at Burger King. America is a society that ws once at the top and now it is falling because of drop outs and people that don't care. Nebraska did take the appropriate action!

  • I think this is a good decision, because the student drop out rates are getting higher and higher.

  • I think this is a good idea. I didnt mind school when I was 15. But the moment I turned 16 everything became a lot harder. like ALOT harder. I never have motivation to do anything anymore and Im always thinking.. wow why dont I just drop out? it would be so much easier.  I think I would like school better if I was forced to go until 18.

  • I think its dumb because they will just drive the teacher insane by not doing anything. The other kids wont be able to learn because of they will be in the way. I mean they do need to learn something but just by keeping them there they still wont learn anything. It could possibly stop drug usage a little bit too but i doubt it.

  • I don't think it really matters. The kids that would of droped out earlier probably aren't gonna change much by staying in school for an extra year or two.

  • I would have to say that would be better when it comes to the student's better good, but for their own personal wants for their life, they should be able to do what they want by the time they are of the age that they can drop out. Of course they're most likely hurting their future job wise, but sometimes there's not much you can do.
