Near Death to Paralympics

Caitlin Sarubbi was born with no eyelids, underdeveloped ears and other facial deformities. Doctors said that she had Ablepharon Macrostomia Syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder characterized by various physical abnormalities that could affect the head and facial area, the skin, and fingers. 

She was fully aceppted by her family, friends and during the same week in her senior year of high school she got her Harvard College admissions letter and her nomination letter to the us skiing team. What do you think about this? Does it inspire you?

  • This is awesome that someone with this type of Syndrome is doing something besides moping around or trying to make it a bigger deal than it is. It is good that she is making something of her life with these things happening.
