Researcher from University of San Marcos, which is found in Lima, Peru found the body underground in the middle of a town square. The city official found the body with its limbs tied together and its hands tied to cover its face. They said that it was an old funeral custom from the southern peruvians. The age of the mummy(800-1000 years ago) means that it was there back to pre-hispanic time and even precedes the inca civilization. studies showed that the body was a young man around age 25-30 years of age.
I think that if they found the body they should keep looking for more history beneath and perhaps close to the body. If they said that they started looking in mid october i probably wouldve given up after a couple weeks. They knew that something was there including dead or rotted marine "snails" because that is something that was a ritual to give offering to the dead. llama bones where also found beside the tomb, they said that llama meat was a well known meal and it was given to the deceased. Several other mummies were found in peru and many of them were older then this one that was found recently.
what you have done if you found this mummy?
would you be excited if you made this discovery?

I like the topic choice but your summary is brief. Be sure to expand a bit more on your replies back as well.
I would probably be a little freaked out if I found a mummy, just due to the fact that it's a dead person. But after getting over that, I would probably talk to someone who knows more about that than myself. I'm not sure if I would be excited with this find, just due to the fact thats it a dead person, that has been decomposing for thousands of years, but it would be extremely cool and interesting.
If I were the one who discovered the mummy I would talk to people who study those kinds of things and let them know about it. I would want to learn more about the discovery and how it got there. I would for sure be excited and creeped out if I found a mummy.
I would have let some national organization know and study it in the furure hopefully and just keep on learning about how and why it got there. I would be super excited if I made the discovery of a mummy all of this kind of stuff is super interesting to me and I always enjoy this.
I would have personally burnt the mummy if I found it, because that's not something I want to find. I would never be excited to find a body that's been decomposing for thousands of years.
i dont agree, i think that its a big sign of an old tradition i would be scared at first but then i would think it was cool.
If I found this mummy i'm not quite sure what I would do but I would probably be excited because it is a cool discovery but scared as well. But since it is so old I would probably be interested in looking more around the area to see what else I could find.
i agree with you.
If I found this mummy I wouldn't quite know what to do. I would probably be scared and excited at the same time. If I had made this discovery in Peru I probably would be excited because it's very rare discovery. But I think this mummy looks very cool in pictures but would look terrifying in person I feel like.
i think that if i found it i would be kinda frightened at first but then i would realize what discovery i just came across
