a women from Oakland, California lost 2 of her kids. they were shot to death. the crazy part about this is that the kids died 19 days apart. Lee and Lamar were those 2 kids. Oakland has been known for a bay area pocket of urban violence. the 2 kids have both gone through a lot of violence and they are starting to straighten everything out. Lamar is 19 years old. he was really really close with his brother Lee. they were so close that they even slept together in the same bed every night. I think that this shows that they both love each other. after Lee's death there mom Dinyal New was worried about Lamar. she thinks that Lee was a target and then who ever killed Lee was coming for Lamar next.

That's so sad. It's the kind of thing when the mother and her kids should live in a more safe neighborhood, but it might not work for their financial status, work, etc. It sounds like a rough place to live.
Probably if he got started into violence then he very well could have messed with the wrong people. It is sad but when you get into things like violence or gangs you dont know what can happen
If your son was killed in that area you should probably move to a safer area.

Why was someone trying to kill them? I think that Lamar will fall apart and not know what to do.
nobody knows why they were trying to kill them
its really scary to think that Lee was a target and if he even was then they should take action now to make sure no one else in the family gets hurt
