As some of you may know Morgan Wallen was looked down upon due to a video being posted of him shouting a racial slur last week. Many people thought due to this video, his new album was going to crash because everyone was gonna hate on him for what he did. All those people were wrong; his album sold more than 25,000 copies during the week of February fourth. The KTLA news reporters said that since the video was posted he has rose on teh billboard for top singers and the downloads for his newest album have went up 67%.
I don’t think he should be technically banned or looked down on due to what he said in the video. We all know that it’s wrong to do such a thing like that but all these rappers out here can say it more than a handful of times and they don’t get any hate for it. Also in Morgan Wallen’s defense he was intoxicated and didn’t know what he was doing/saying. It's not right for someone to say something like this and he had no reason to but we all make mistakes at some point in our lifetime. One wrong thing shouldn’t determine how that artist is looked upon. All radio stations and other broadcasting websites removed his music from the broadcasters, but that made for his fans to play his music even more.
It’s also not fair for his music to be taken off the radio because of one of his actions. I think in order for him to be completely taken off all the radio broadcasters and news stations, he needs to have a history of saying racists things many times not jsut once, There's so many people who enjoy his music and it would cause many problems between his fans if Morgan Wallen’s music was taken off the radio. The KTLA news station states, “It may be too early to predict the long-term consequences for Wallen.” They are thinking that his video might have just cost him his whole career as a song artist.

No Morgan Wallen should not be canceled. He should not be banned from radio stations and other things. He said a word on his property and someone was video taping him and don't forget he was drunk. So he made a mistake people arn't human if they don't make mistakes. This is not a good reason for him to be canceled. If it was just an average person on there yard and says it nothing will happen but since he is famous people are wreckin ghis career it's not right. With that said I will continue to listen to his music.
I agree with you just because one wrong word he said shouldn't determine the rest of his career and the amount of people that are now going to trash him because of what he said. Those people don't realize that they probably don't realize that so many other artists that they listen too say the same words or somewhere within that topic. I will also continue to listen to his music no matter what people try to disriminize him as.
I don’t think Morgan Wallen should be banned from broadcasting on radio stations. He made a mistake and many other celebrities have made mistakes in their past. He should definitely not have said it, but he should be given another chance. Not being able to broadcast on radio stations could deeply affect his career.
I dont think that one action should determine his future successes. But what he said was wrong, I don't think that him being intoxicated should be a form of defense. However, Morgan Wallen should not be banned from being brodcasted. But I thik there should be some form of punishment, only becuase if this becomes a trend, it will be a much bigger problem and simply seeking for the wrong kind of attention.
No, Morgan Wallen should not be taken off radio stations. He said a racial slur once, and that doesn't mean he is a racist person. It's not right that he said it but he was drunk. Yes, for example 69. He is mexican and says the n-word in every song he makes. Why don't we cancel him? It just doesn't make sense that Morgan gets punished but other artists don't.
I totally agree with because if there going to punish Morgan than that should open up the right to punish any artist that says it and that shouldn't. Only canceling one person who has said it isn't right whatsoever because if you do it to one person then the others who have said the same form of that language or anything close to it should get punished just the same.
Being banned from being broadcasted from radio stations is a very bad punishment when there shouldn't be a punishment at all. Bringing Morgan down for this is infringing on his rights of freedom of speech. It is not like he was saying it in a derogitory way towards anybody. What you do for one person you should do for all. It is unfair that other people say a racial slur every other word in their rap, why should it be any different for Morgan.
I agree with you because what the radio stations did was way to excessive and wasn't in the right whatsoever. It all went to far even though he deserves the punishment for what he did it still shouldn't have went as far as they took it. I also agree with the part of what you said about if other people can say it and not get anything for it, why should it be different for Morgan Wallen.
I don't think that he should be banned from the radio station because he made on mistake. Everyone makes mistakes and he shouldn't lose everyting he has worked his whole life for on one little thing he said. I am not saying that it was okay for him to say it but his friend did say that he wasn't offended so why should we be. I think that people who use it in songs that shouldn't should be punished. I also think that it shouldn't be in songs at all because it can cause a lot of problems.
