I think that she got the monkeys from the black market because where would you get them from and not get in trouble? There could be many reasons, she could have killed herself.
They could have gotten these monkeys from some black market maybe or bought them somewhere but im guessing that the person who they got them from or if they got them themselves, it was not legal.
Smith could have died from the other guy in the room or it could have been from the monkeys who could have attacked the lady and killed her. Wild animals aren't something to mess with, especially is it is capable of killing someone or could be capable if it had the numbers.
I think they have the monkeys illegally, but I do not think she was killed by the monkeys, or the other man. The main article stated that the woman had no trauma wounds on her body.
