More than 850 babies are born dependent on drugs every year. A drug-dependent baby is never comforted. It will constantly, cry and scream and claw itself because it is not given what it is addicted to. A republican member of the Tennessee house of representatives is trying to pass a bill that would target mothers who she said "force feed" drugs to their unborn babies. Many people think this isn't a good idea because "A population of addicted women are already scared. They’re already very distrustful in general of authority and the medical establishment and it takes a long time for them to build up trust. So this bill will make that harder"

Dang so these babies are cranky because their mother was doing drugs while they were in the womb. I think that it would be a good idea to pass the bill because then if the mother was to go into rehab the baby would have to come with it because it is also addicted to it. I think that it would scare them into not doing anything when they are pregnant as well taking care of it. When their kid reaches the age of six or seven then you can do it again.

Well some women don't realize the responsibility they are taking in when they become pregnant....
I think that they should do whatever is best for the baby. If it means giving them drugs then so be it.
I dont really think giving a baby drugs is what's best for it..
I'm for this bill because it is not far to the baby to be dependent on something just because they have a bad mother.
