Kyler Ann Ramsdell-Oliva killed her 13 and 7 year old daughters before taking her own life. She had been in the process of getting out of a serious relationship. When a neighbor heard gun shots, she immediately called the police. The fiancé had showed up at their house to get some of his possessions, and found out the terrible news. He was ruled out any involvement in the murders. What could motivate a mother to kill her own children? What are your thoughts on this story?

Maybe she was just so depressed, she didn't want her daughters to have to watch her be depressed. Some people are abusive when they are upset, and maybe she was that type of person. Because of that, she didn't want her kids to suffer so she just shot them, thinking that would be better. But in no way was that the right thing to do. Even though the mother would have been upset, the girls still could have been happy and did nothing to deserve to die.
I don't know any mother who would even think of killing her children! This story is very hard to hear, I wonder if this really was the mother or if someone made it look like it was.
There is no doubt what the mother did was wrong. But I'm going to say the mother didn't want her children to live without her, that is why she did it. The mother should have taken the kids to a safe place while she was going through a tough time. This is really tragic, those kids had their whole lives ahead of them.
This is awful. Suicide is never the answer to anyone's problems. This lady obviously had something else wrong with her than just being dumped. I agree that he should be ruled out of murder, he has the freedom to break it off if he doesn't think that the relationship was right.
Maybe she didn't want her children to deal with what she dealt with. I don't really know why she would kill her kids and herself.
I don't know why anyone one would kill themselves over a relationship, especially taking her children's life. That is just too far taking your children's life over something like that.
ok. why would someone do something as stupid as this!? If she killed her self over a guy that broke up with her... what is wrong with her! And why would you kill the two kids, they didn't do anything wrong besides be in your life. She must have been really messed up.
After reading the news artical i actually think this was the work of the ex-boyfriend why would a mother kill her 2 daughter?
It could of been , but there wasn't any evidence he was even there.
