230 people were killed in a Al- Shabaad an Al Qaeda linked terror group bombing on October 15 in Mogadishu. There were two explosions, one was by the Safari Hotel in the heart of the city, the other was in Madina district not to far away from where the first went off. The UK ambassador of Somalia tweeted that the blast was audible from inside the British Embassy. Mogadishu is known to be a very high place of violence, Al- Shabaad has carried out many car bombings in the city already.

Do you think there will ever be a time where we can take down these terror groups permanently?

Truthfully, I'm not sure there will ever be. With groups like these they don't have one leader that makes up all the plans they have many come up with ideas of how they could do something to harm people, it would take a lot of good ideas to put a stop to these groups.

How far would you go if you were the Ambassador of Mogadishu to change the rate of terror there?

Hire more police to roam the streets, ask people to keep an open eye out for anything that seems real suspicious to them. Even go on nightly patrols across the city to see for myself what is going on. I would try to hire people to infiltrate the groups and bring me back details of what is there next move and where will it be at. I would literally do everything in my power to keep these terror groups out of my country and city.

  • There is always going to be someone in the world that has a craze for terrorism and just wants to start a terrorist group or a mafia that goes around killing innocent people because they think its fun. I think in the future there will be less terrorist groups because the United States is going to grow in power and inmilitary forces and no one is going to want to mess with us.

  • Good job overall! Be sure to capitalize words in your title, be sure to provide a hyperlink to your story and finally, be sure to comment three different days.

  • I honestly don't think there will ever be a time where we take them down permanently because that would be extremely difficult to do but I mean might as well try you never know. I would be more secure have more police to watch people and just try to have people watch whats happening in their surroundings to help protect a future one.

  • I'm pretty sure that there will never be a time without any terror groups. We can't control the people's thoughts so there will always be at least one person who has a terrorist attack in his/her mind.

I would try to change the rate of terror with changing the laws. If the terrorists in Mogadishu would get easier into prison, they may think about their plans.

  • No I don't think we will be able to take all terrorist groups down because of how many there are. You will never be able to watch all of them and even if you are they look like the citizens that walk that streets. I would put more police there in the most common areas of where people are.

  • Honestly I'm not sure if we will actually ever get rid of the terrorists. They have been around for a very long time, and they will probably continue to stay. I would make sure that there was more protection, more police, more security everything. I would not want this to ever occur ever again. It's kind of like 9/11. There is so much more protection now since then.

  • I don't think we will ever be able to take down terrorists all together because there will always be at least one person who disagrees with a country or a religion. I would try to get in more troops and set up more border patrol. I would have a lot of background checks done and keep a close eye on a people coming in and out of the country.

    • I really agree with Montana what she said basically sums up what a leader of this country should do. Get in more troops, a lot of background checks and keep a close I on people can really improve this country.

  • I don't think we can ever take down these groups because people will always find something to be angry about. I would try to get people to report problems. I would make sure that nothing suspicious was happening and I would hire more officials to protect the city.

  • I don't think we will ever be able to take down terrorism groups because everybody thinks different and has their own opinions. Opinions are hard to change, and hatred and jealously will always be part of the world. I think more security on the streets and buildings wouldn't hurt. But if a terrorist wants something to happen, they will make it happen; regardless of rules.
