A 17 year old teen was handcuffed to a pole in his basement by his parents. He was unhandcuffed 3 times a day to eat and go to the bathroom. He has been there since September, and during that times his friends would come over to ask him to hang out and his parents would say that he was out of tow.

That is horrible. I cannot believe that these parents would do this. How does it happen that two people that are that crazy end up together?
That is seriously insane. What would make a parent even think to do something to their own child. It's not okay or fair in any way, even if they are different from the "norm" they do not deserve to be treated like this.
This is so wrong. just because he isnt normal doesnt mean his parents should lock him in the basement. thats just cruel
Those are messed up people, did the kid go to school and if he did why did he not tell anyone.
How could you do that to your kid? The parents should go to jail for this. This just shouldn't happen even if the parents had problems or not.
This very very sad. Why would you have a child and then do this to them..especially a mentally handicap child, and then have another kid!? Thankfully he was found and is in good hands.

That is just wrong. I mean handcuffing your child?! Common what is Society coming to these days. I mean no matter what he kid had done I don't think he deserved that. That's not right.
