Missing boy found behind a fake wall

A 13 year-old boy went missing 4 years ago in Georgia. Authorities said the boy was visiting his father in 2010. He then refused to return the boy to his mother.

On Friday, the mother called the police after receiving a text from her kid. The police went to the father's house in Atlanta and searched for the boy. Gregory Jean, the father and Samantha Davis, his girlfriend, said they didn't know anything about the child or where he was.  The officers left the house but the boy found a way to call his mother again and the police returned to the house. The mother told the information she had from her child to the officers and they found the kid behind a fake wall in the residence by 2am Saturday.

Jean and Davis are charged with false imprisonment, obstruction of justice and cruelty to children. Also three juveniles were arrested.

What would you do if your child was missing ?

What do you think of the police work ? As the boy was found at his father's house knowing that the father didn't wanted his son to go back to his mother's ?

  • Good job!

  • I would probably go on a rampage trying to find them. I think that they should have tried to look harder then they did.

  • i would keep searching till i find him. not very good should of searched better. if they boy hadn't told his mother he would still be there.

  • Like any normal parent, I would do everything I could to find him. But after four years, you would think that the police would have re-investigated the dad's house, and find the fake wall.

  • I would do anything and everything to get them back, no matter what it took. The police did a very good job of figuring out where the child was, putting the information together and discovering the child.

  • I would try and find the boy, I think they didn't do enough to help the women find her son.

    • yes, I agree!

  • I would get people out looking for him and try and find him. I bet the police just wanted to get the kid back safely and police have to do what they have to do. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do or you have to make tough decisions.

  • I think that I would do every thing to find my child and let the police do their work to find him/her.  I don't know what to say about the police work.  Did they not talk to the father four years ago and ask about him.  Because they didn't bother to check the house and walls. I think that they could have found him sooner if they did a little more work to find this little boy.

    • Yes, I also think the police didn't really do its job.
