Using scanners that read the brain, scientists have found a way to read minds. They had 30 people look at multiple faces, and think of a single face. By using the brain scanners they were able to reconstruct the face the people were thinking of. The reconstructed images are a bit blurry but you can make out what the face is. It has trouble getting hair color right, half of the time it does.
What do you think about this? Is this a good or bad step forward for technology? Do you think they should go further into this research?

Good job Kat!!
I think this is cool that you can see what people are thinking but I don't think it is a good thing for technology. The reason I think that is cause the things people think are their own business and if they wanted people to know they would show it or say it out loud. I think they should go further into the research of it just so we know how it works but I wouldn't suggest using it on people if they didn't want it to be done to them.
I think that this is slightly bad because what would happen if some people got one of these scanner and they started reading people's thoughts out loud. I mean this is a good step forward towards people using this for medical purposes and also video gaming purpose because then we could go into a game and play it as the main character in that game. Like in SAO.
I think this is a great step for technology. A mind reader sounds like something from a movie-very cool.
I think this a magnificent idea. If it is used in the correct way it will help improve technology. I think this is probably where they should draw the line and stop making things like this.
Its cool but it could be used for things that are wrong.
I wouldn't want someone to know what I was thinking about. But is good for a lie detection test or something? Maybe.
Honestly I feel like it's kind of an invasion of privacy....your mind is something that is completely your own, and I know that I wouldn't really feel comfortable with someone reading mine.
Im not sure how I exactly feel about this but I think there is a good side to this and a bad side to this. Some people could use it against someone, and I think that they could go further into this research.
I think it's a good and bad. I think it could do us good with crime but then again it's just weird thinking someone else knows exactly what you're thinking.
