Mike Krzyzewski has been a basketball coach since 1980 and 5 of those 35 years were at duke. On January 25, 2015 he won his 1000th game, the first head coach of divisi on one basektball to do so. It was Duke vs. St. Johns with a final score of 77-68. \
What kind of emotions do you thing coach Krzyzewski had after the game?
Do you think this award is because of the players or more of the coach? Explain.

I think he was probably pretty humble and went to celebrate with his family. I think it had a lot to do with the players because Duke receives the best players in the country, but without a doubt, Mike Krzyzewski is a phenomenal coach.
This is really something that he should be extremely happy about. This is something almost nobody gets. I would say this is a group effort. Without the players they probably wouldn't have got it but without the couch they wouldn't have got it either.
This is amazing to reach 1000 wins is outstanding. He probably had many mixed emotions after that game. I think that it was a little bit of the players and the coach. With out a coach the players would have a hard time getting better, but with out the players he would never have hit 1000 wins.
That is a great accomplishment, and will be hard to beat. I think the players should feel proud to play for a legendary coach. The feelings he is having are probably very joyful.
I would think that after winning your 1000th game you would be euphoric and the coach deserves the award because a player without a coach, no matter how talented, will most likely not have the desire to better themselves and even if they do they would need a coach of some form for it.
He was probably filled with emotions of excitement, since he was the first coach to do this.
That is one of the biggest accomplishments a coach can get. He recently has been arguably the best coach in division one. How could you not have strong emotions of excitement and gratefulness. No matter how many games he wins he knows it isn't all him. He knows that the players are just as much responsible for these wins as he is.
I am betting his emotions were all happy, because that is exciting when something like that happens. I think the award be because of either or both. Because the team may not have been as good without his coaching, so he has coached them good. But he could not have won it all without the players. They are the ones that go out there and actually play, he could not go out there and win it without them.
i agree i think he would be very happy to be the first coach in division 1 basketball to get 1000 wins.
