Michel Cohen Testifies in Front of Congress

On Tuesday, February 26 Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s lawyer, publicly testified in front of congress. He started the testimony by calling Trump a “racist” and a “conman”. Cohen then accused Trump of doing many horrible things. He produced a reimbursement check that Trump gave him. Some people believe that the check proves that Trump had an affair with Stormy Daniels, and then paid her to keep quiet. Cohen claims that Donald Trump knew about Roger Stone speaking to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange about leaking the Democratic emails during the election. However, Cohen admitted that Trump didn’t instruct Roger Stone to do so. Most importantly Cohen said that he had no evidence that Trump ever colluded with Russia.

Q1: How do you think Cohen’s testimony will affect Donald Trump?

I think that Cohen’s testimony will affect Trump majorly because if Cohen’s accusation are true it proves that Trump is a liar and he’s done some terrible things.

Q2: Do you think that Cohen was telling the truth during the testimony? Why or why not?

I think that he was telling the truth because he has nothing to lose by telling the truth because he has already been arrested.

  • Well done Dominic!

  • I think if some of the things that Michel Cohen says are proven then yes it can hurt trump. I think he was telling the truth. Howver, It is hard to believe him now since he has lied to the court before.

  • i doubt that it will effect donald trump at all because cohen is doing all of this for the attention and it wouldnt surprise me if he change his mind on donald trump again. I think that cohen is doing what he can to stay in the spotlight.

    • I disagree because because I think that if Cohen can prove what he says to be true than Trump could get impeached, and that would be a major impact. I also think that Cohen was telling the truth because he has nothing to gain by lying.

  • I think that the testimony could affect Trump in a big way because they may find his evidence to be true. I think that he could possibly be telling the truth because he knows he is already going to jail no matter what.

  • I think too many people are skeptical of Cohen as he has already been established as a liar and other people already dislike Trump for other things so it'll just be added to his negative pile. I don't think the testimony will affect anything until there is evidence.

    • Also, I personally am not sure if Cohen is lying because people say he has nothing to lose by telling the truth while others say he has nothing to lose by telling more lies. I hope he is telling the truth even if it has bad implications for the president because I'd like to believe people aren't always lying.

  • I think that Cohen's jtestimony will affect Trump majorly because if Cohen's accusations are ture that means that Trump is a liar, but if they prove guilty that mean Trump isn't a lair. I think that he could have possibly been telling the truth, I mean what does this man have to lose. Cohen has already been arrested.

    • I agree with you because I think that Cohen's testimony will affect Trump negativly, but he needs to provide more evidence for his accusation to be taken seriously. I also agree with you because I too think that he was telling the truth because he has nothing to lose.

  • I think that Trump will be fine from these allegations because there's no hard evidence against him at the moment. The check his lawyer produced could've been for a burger or something for all we know.

I think Cohen is being payed to slander and deface Trump's name because he knows if he does well he'll be payed a lot. That's just a speculation though, a speculation theory...
