A vase worth $1 million in the Perez Art Museum Miami was smashed in protest. Maximo Caminero, the protester, claimed it to be "a spontaneous protest". The reasoning for his protest? the Perez Art Museum Miami only displays art that is international and not local art. Ai Weiwei, the maker of the vase, didn't get upset and said that this isn't the first time someone has ruined in art.
I know that if I created a vase worth $1 million dollars I would be quite upset.
What do you think will happen to the protester? What would be fair punishment?

I think the protester should have to pay or work to make up all or some of the 1 million dollars.
I think the owner should sue him for the million dollars. Because the protester didn't own the art, but he still smashed it.
Well you should not destroys things that aren't yours. He should have to pay for the vase or have some kind of punishment.
I think he should have to pay for some of it and get charged with vandalism! If I were him I would feel terrible,even when I accidentally break my moms nice glass I feel really bad so I don't know what I would do if it were worth 1 million dollars!
The artist isn't mad because he already got payed for it and he could care less.
I think he should either have to pay for it or have jail time i mean who just gets up in the morning goes to a art museum and breaks stuff in protest why not take a more peaceful route?
He should probably get several years in jail for ruining something so expensive but I don't understand why something that valuable wasn't protected by more security measures.
I think the protester should be in some kind of trouble. It isn't right to destroy someone else's property and not get in trouble for it. I would be very mad if someone destroyed something of mine that was worth $1 million.
Its art who cares and if you have a vase worth 1million dollars you have to much time on you hands and you could pry go out and buy a new one
