Mexico is looking to deport neartly 500 migrants who tried to storm into the US. The intention's of the group were to go away from their countries violence, poverty and prosectution. The US handled the situation by sending troops to the border and were forced to use excessive force by throwing tear gas to the groups aggresively trying to pass the border. Having been said, President Trump threatened the group and Mexico by closing off all borders of the south. And now Mexico has issued a statement via their interior ministry that will deport the group from Mexico.

Questions:

Do you think it was neccesary for Mexico to deport all the groups who tried to pass through the US?

A: I believe they did the right thing to do, as I understand they're motives and intentions of them passing but you can't just waltz by borders and expect nothing to happen. As well that I believe Mexico doesn't want any bad blood with the USA.

Would you let the group in the USA (as president)?

A: I don't believe I would let them pass by, but in return I would compensate the entire group as they are trying to escape their country as means for sympathy for them.

  • Good story choice! Be sure to capitalize key words in your title and you also could have replied a few more times.

  • I do feel for the people because I believe that my parents would do the same for me so that I could live a better life. I'm sure many Americans would try to get out of their country if it had violence that would hurt their family. But, they should come legally but it does take a long time.

  • Not really, considering that most of them were probably innocent citizens who just wanted to make it into the US. As President I would likely have an open border, BUT, I would work with Mexico to make sure that we let people in that aren't bad people.

  • A leader is supposed to act for the greater good of the thing they are leading. It is unwise to act based on feelings and bias. President Trump realizes that they won't bring anything good to our country. Most of the people in the caravan are poor and impoverished. Accepting them would just be an even bigger burden on us.

  • I understand why the president is sending forces to the borders. He sent a warning but they were to ignorant to take and understand. They deserve what's coming to them.

  • Although refugees have a right to be given housing and protection from neighboring countries but if they really want to get into the U.S then they can do it legally. They put the effort into walking that far so why not spend a little effort into filling out papers and just silently waiting for a reply.

  • I don't think it is a moral thing to do but they did just go right into there country knowing that the US would probably not let them into America. I would not let them just walk into our country. Who knows they might be taking all the bad things they say they are leaving there country for and bring them into America.

  • I think it was neccesary because if they would've gotten through, I feel like United States would freak out on Mexico. I don't think US and Mexico want to be in war together but Trump doesn't want them to come. I wouldn't let them pass through due to terrorism and jobs.

    • Yeah I agree, US and Mexico are in a good relationship right now not considering the wall of course but yes they might go through and have a propaganda against the US.

I would let them try to get in legally and if they don't want to them i won't let them in.
