Donald Trump will move into the White House after the inauguration but his wife and son will not. They have decided to move in when the school year is over so that Barron would not have to switch schools in the middle of the year. Until they move, they will continue to stay in their penthouse apartment at Trump Tower. The campaign was difficult for Barron and they think that moving in right after the inauguration will be to much for him. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama also had school age children when they moved into the White House. All of their children moved during the school year.
Questions:
1. If you had the chance to move into the White House would you want to move during the school year or after? Explain.
2. Why do you think Clinton and Obama's children moved during the school year?
Opinion:
If I had the chance I would move after the school year because of what I would be learning now vs what I could be learning there. Also so that I could spend more time with my friends. I think other children moved during school because either they chose to or their parents made them.

Great job Aimie!
I like all my friends that I have here, but if one of my parents became the president I would totally leave and move into the whitehouse. I've never been to a new school before so I think it'd be fun
As hard as it would be to move during the school year, I would want to be with my family. I think they moved because their parents moved and ultimately it's not the child's decision, it's the parents.
I agree that it would be hard to move during the year, but your family is more important. I also agree that it was probably because their parents moved and that it was not he child's decision.
to be honest i wouldn't wait because becoming a presidential family raises more risks and also i wouldn't wan to be away from my family for that long. i know i would like to stay with my friends more but sometimes in life you have to make hard decisions. Clinton and Obama's kids moved in during the school year because they maybe didn't want to get separated or were just really excited i mean come on.
Yes, I would wait til after the school year got over. Moving in the middle of the year is hard, and leaving your friends is never easy. I think that it was up to their parents and not them to move.
I agree that moving in the middle of the year would be hard because you would have to leave your friends. It is not easy to leave friends and for some people it is also not easy to make new friends.
It might depend. I might want to because it would be really exciting, but I also think that I might want to finish the school year out to get all the education and be with friends. Maybe Clinton and Obama moved so that they could be together.
I also think it could depend. Moving before would be exciting but then you wouldn't be able to be with your friends and you might not be taught the same things.
I would wait until after the school year to move in because my life would be changing so much that I would not want one more thing to make it more stressful. I have no idea why they did, maybe to get use to their new life faster.
