Medical Marijuana Equal Bad Parenting?

A man from California has a prescription for Medical Marijuana and so did his girlfriend. His was for anxiety and chronic pain and hers was for depression and anxiety. A social worker came to their house and decided to take their 11 month old to a foster care because they didn't think they should have a baby around it. 

I think they shouldn't of gotten their baby taken away since they had a prescription for it. I think they should of checked into the parents more first. Do you think the social worker did the right thing by taking away the baby? Or should they of looked into it more?

    I think they should have looked into it more... If the parents had a legitimate medical marijuana prescription and they weren't doing it around the kid then it would be okay

      I think it would be okay too if the child wasn't around. I think they should of checked the parents background more too see if it was a for real reason why they had it.

    This is dumb, marijuana has been made legal and used for medical purposes for a reason just because it has been illegal for many years doesn't mean its a bad thing to have it now. Maybe the parents should only smoke it outside or away from the baby.

      Yeah I agree. It was used for a medical purpose and they had a prescription so I don't think it is a big deal.

    If the parents were using it for the wrong use the social worker did the right thing. Also I think they should of looked into it more.

      Yeah, but I don't think they were using it for the wrong reason. I agree they should of looked into more to make sure before taking the child away.

    I think they should of looked more into the parents. Because if it is really prescribed to them, then the child shouldn't have been taken. There probably is something else they can do for their pain.

      I think they should of looked more into it too because I don't think it would harm the child if they didn't do it in front of the kid.

    They should of taken the baby and checked into the parents before deciding to give it back or not.
