Jim Mattis is wanting to "back up" U.S. forces along the border between us and Mexico. He is wanting to do this to stop the illegal immagrants saying that they are going to come over illegally. Mattis is very hesistant in doing this because he doesn't want another Mexican Revolutionary War to start. His short-term objective is too lay wiring down and building barriers. His long-term goal is still yet to be determined. He also wants this to be a "training" for the soldiers. The Department of Justice said, "It's obviously a moral and ethical mission to support our border patrolmen."

Do you think it would be a good idea to make our troops back up? Why or why not?
Yes, because maybe it will help us make peace with Mexico.
If you lived in Mexico would you want this to happen? Why or why not?
It wouldn't matter to me.

Work on asking stronger questions abd you didn't reply to anyone.
Yes, I think that it could ease some tensions, and the troops at this point probably aren't doing much other than intimidation. I think I would want this, beacause it would be a step closer to better realations with Mexico.
Yes it would help for a better future and bring peace with Mexico. If I lived in Mexico I don't think it would matter very much to me personally, but maybe to my family or close people.
Yes because it would help in the future and realive tension between mexico and the US. Depends if it really bothered me. Most likey yes because in my head i would know its one step closer to releave tesnion with the US
Yes because it can become a good thing in the long run. Honeslty it wouldn't matter to me but on the other hand if i was trying to get into to states then yes i think they should back off because we have a right to enter the U.S. Because it not like we haven't been into Mexico before.
I'm on the fence about making our troops back up. Mexico would like it if we did that so they would possibly respect us more and be on better term with us. While on the other hand, making our troops back up would allow many illegal immigrants to come into our country, which is what many people do not want to happen. It's a very controversial subject so I'm sure many people feeling strongly about either making our troops back up or not.
I really don't know if it would a good idea. If we backed off we could be on better terms with Mexico, but then more illegal immigrants could come into America. I don't think it would affect me unless I was trying to get into the states.
I don't think it is a good idea to make the troops back up because it is ILLEGAL to let immigrants into the US with out going through a process of getting citizenship. If we just let them into the US all they wanted to then we wouldn't know anything about them. Its just like saying you would let a random person walk in and out of your house as much as they wanted to. If I lived in Mexico I would want them to stop this caravan from crossing the border.
Im not really sure if its a good idea or not. It could help with being better friends with mexico but it could potentialy let illegal immagrants in still.
I lived in mexico I would want this to happen because i would feel safer.
Yes because it hopefully would get the illegal immigration situation under control and help the U.S. regain their powerhold. Well obviously no, why would I if I wanted to go to America? I'm pretty sure everyone would want the U.S.A. to let us in.
